FG|PG partners with CT for E3

Webster’s defines partnership as “…close cooperation between parties.”
When Creative Technology (CT) and Freddie Georges Production Group (FG|PG) collaborate, they create a powerful partnership that blends professionalism, creativity, service and technology into award-winning experiential events, exhibits and environments.
In fact, an FG|PG-designed and CT-supported exhibit recently garnered multiple Best Booth acknowledgements during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 (E3), the world’s premiere trade show for computer, video and mobile games and related products. FG|PG designed and produced its kudo-winning exhibit for long-time client 2K Games which develops, publishes and distributes dozens of popular video games.
FG|PG’s challenge was to redesign an existing 15,000-square foot, double-deck exhibit into multiple game environments to promote 2K’s four upcoming releases Mafia III, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, NBA 2K16 and WWE 2K17.
A large portion of the exhibit space was dedicated to Mafia III, a game that takes place in a fictionalized city called New Bordeaux (New Orleans). FG|PG created a spectacularly immersive experience, transporting attendees to a 1961 New Orleans neighborhood, complete with two-story Creole townhouses where Mardi Gras revelers threw beads from wrought-iron balconies, palm readers told attendees fortunes, and a jazz band provided an upbeat nightclub atmosphere. The exhibit also offered a variety of meeting rooms, seating and socializing areas, gaming stations, a bar and even a theater.
According to FG|PG’s CEO Freddie Georges, the equipment and support provided by Creative Technology for the 2K exhibit were “critical” to the exhibit’s design and vibe. The exhibit’s design, build and show floor unveiling took 140 days from start to finish with CT involved every step of the way.
“Our involvement began in February with the proof of design,” said Kristi Ventura, CT’s National Director of Sales. “We worked collaboratively with FG|PG on equipment selection, system build, technical staff needs, time allotment for set-up, local labor considerations and trucking logistics for CT equipment. For the build, CT provided over 400 tiles of high resolution LED displayed throughout the booth, full audio support for the exhibit and more than 1,000 man hours from set to strike.”
E3 2016 was not the first partnership between FG|PG and CT. FG|PG has partnered with CT to provide audio, video, and LED services for more than a decade. So, why does FG|PG consistently partner with CT for technical services? “Because of CT’s expertise, customer service and equipment availability,” said Georges.
“One of the best decisions I ever made was to pick up the phone and call CT over 10 years ago. The partnership is invaluable. Entertainment is a big industry, so fun, so creative, so exciting, so scenic, never just another project. You have to bring the titles to life and CT plays a big role in doing so,” said Georges.
